Meet the Simplicitea Cozy
The Simplicitea Cozy pattern was inspired by one of my favorite things… a cup of tea! This pattern brings together simplicity, charm, and a little heart (literally).
I created this design at the very beginning of my Woods and Wool, and decided it was time to bring the pattern to life. This pattern is a simple, fast, and yet beautiful project. The finished piece is the perfect gift for a birthday, Valentine’s Day, or even just to say “thank you”. This cozy takes little time and little yarn, making it a great project for yarn you’ve already got in your stash. I used one of my favorite cotton yarns, Dishie by Knit Picks, but this project will work up great with any worsted weight yarn! This project is simple enough for a beginner crocheter to take on as a challenge, or for the advanced crocheter to explore new designs.

Curious about the colorwork technique?
This pattern uses a technique is called tapestry crochet. You might also hear it called jacquard crochet, intarsia, mosaic, fair isle, or even just colorwork, but don’t let all the fancy names intimidate you. The basis of this technique is pretty simple and the pattern includes photos to help explain how the color changing technique works in this pattern.
